They helped me with things I wasn't sure about, helped keep me close to budget, paid attention to all my requests especially the dietary restrictions for my young daughter. We had a "drop off night before" supper with all the fixings, Katherine came herself warmed up and set up for our family and guests, as well as left behind a wonderful "morning of" breakfast for us. I felt like I've known her forever!!!... That's important to me, MUST BE PERSONABLE and make me feel it's more than a job. My reception dinner was elegant, intimate and just enough shabby chic for our little crew... Once again personable. It was so much more than a reception dinner... The Big Island is the place to do a special moment and please allow someone like Katherine and her crew come in and take care of you... Would recommend 100-times over!! Outrageous doesn't even begin to capture how incredible the dining experience my family and I had indulging in a delicious meal with Chef Katherin and her team. From the first conversation, I had with Chef Katherine, through the private event she and her team catered were nothing but professional, helpful, and innovative...the ahi smoke bowl is a MUST. Working with the Chef was a delight, I shared with her that I wanted to create a special evening for my family and her event planner and chef mind got straight to work. She delivered both ambiance and a unique dining experience my family is still talking about. Chef Katherine prepared edamame, spring rolls, smoked ahi bowls, pot stickers, kalua pork, mahi-mahi (fresh catch), vegetables, coconut rice, onion rolls, and chocolate volcano cake. The food was both presented beautifully and most importantly, was delicious. I cannot emphasize enough how good the food was, having a diverse family with very adventurous eaters and high expectation of their food, Chef Katherine more than delivered. We savored every bite. That doesn't even capture the attention to detail she and her team put into the event, we even had special made leis made for each of us, including an adorable flower crown for my one-year-old niece. I know my family will be back in Kona in the future, and hopefully we can work with Chef Katherine again.

The food, drinks, service, decorations, professionalism, and effort that Chef Katherine and Outrageous Gourmet provided for our wedding was top quality. Our guests remarked that it was the best catered event they'd ever attended, best food, great signature cocktail (mango margarita with red rim.) When the wind made the outdoor setup impossible, they went to plan B and plan C without missing a beat, and offered us alternatives as they went along. Katherine's full service event staging was worth waiting for her to have time in her busy schedule to get us her detailed estimate of the various services she offered....Rest assured, she is on top of all her clients' needs, and sometimes is ahead of them, suggesting items they may not have thought of.

Chef Katherine came to our rental home on the Big Island Hawaii and cooked in our kitchen and out on the BBQ grill, a wonderful feast which included amazing appetizers, salads, delicious entrées of smoked Kalua pork and grilled teriyaki chicken. We had an amazing dinner with private chef Katherine Louie of Outrageous Gourmet. She's the BEST CHEF we've ever experienced at any of the Exclusive Resorts residences....GREAT AMBIANCE - she brought some pretty table decorations like a mini-ice sculpture, tropical foilage, an array of candles. She also did a special menu for the kids with tender juicy grilled chicken kabobs, broccoli trees, fruit, rice, and "worms in dirt" - chocolate mousse with crushed oreo cookies, and gummy worms poking out - a huge hit!!!

Outrageous Gourmet is the BEST. .We were so impressed with her professionalism and great service... The kids loved it just as much as my husband and I did...YUM...every last thing from the Onion Rolls, to the mini crab cakes, to the festive Hula Girl cake were homemade and we enjoyed the Hawaiian decorations she brings for the table. The kids loved it!!! It was by far the most enjoyable and tasty meal we had while in Hawaii, I am still thinking about the experience. My daughter and I want Katherine to go on BRAVO'S TOP CHEF!!!! Chef Katherine was just fabulous! We had a catered dinner at a home that we had rented for our vacation. The occasion was our wedding reception dinner. They brought in everything that was needed and every single dish was made using locally grown organic ingredients! Prior to the dinner, Chef Katherine worked closely with us via telephone and email to select a menu of our choice. The food was amazing! It was delicious and fresh! It was prepared and presented in ways that made it look mouthwatering (WHICH IT WAS!!). After our wedding guests left for the evening, my new bride and I snuggled out on the deck under the moonlight while Chef Katherine and her staff continued to serve us wine and desert and they also cleaned up everything from the dinner. It was a full service experience that I will repeat the next time that I am back on the Big Island!! Thank you Chef Katherine for making our wedding day so wonderful!!
